Training

Over the past five years Custom has provided social media training for major companies such as Tesco and PwC, leading agencies such as Fishburn Hedges and Ketchum, and many SMEs.

We run a variety of social media training modules including:

Think Like an Editor: editorial training to help employees publish on blogs, Facebook and Twitter.

The Executive Social Media Crash Course: Half day intensive training for leaders who need to understand how social media is shaping their business but don’t have the time to take in-depth training.

Social Media Crisis Communications: making emergency media training relevant for the digital age

Social Media Sustainability: bringing CSR alive for social media communities.

Our training workshops are for small groups of up to 15 people. They help our clients understand how social media can:

  • increase the effectiveness of  marketing expenditures
  • create an ongoing relationship with customers and employees
  • boost sales through social channels and target markets
  • save costs on customer service and market research
  • help guide sustainability/CSR initiatives
  • impact corporate investment decisions, M&A strategy
  • enhance employee relations
  • offer feedback for Research and Development

Our training is headed by Custom Communication directors Matthew Yeomans and Bernhard Warner. Matthew has lectured on media and social media at New York University and Cardiff University and has worked with leading training companies such as econsultancy to help them develop social media and digital marketing training. Bernhard Warner has taught media at John Cabot University and has run media training for agencies. Both Matthew and Bernhard are veteran journalists with decades of experience working for the likes of Reuters, The Industry Standard, Time, Wired and the Times.
